Another interesting “trophy” example of French B1Bis tank in German service. Its a flamethrower tank of 17th Waffen SS division “Prinz Eugen”.

The model is a resin conversion from MR Modellbau based on Tamiya’ B1Bis, built for one of our local clients. Turret was softened with Airbrush cleaner and then scratched with rude brush to make it look as a molded one.

Painted with Tamiya acrilics, XF-24. Dry transfers were used for marking as well as thin brush. Weathered with usual complex of filters, washes and pigments, particularly MIG Dry Mud, Dark Mud, Russian Earth и Graveyard Dirt. Notice napalm leaks on the rear tanks. Another feature are maple leafs of which some are plumped into mud in tracks and aboard.

Used items:

Tamiya 35282 – B1 bis

MR Modellbau – resin conversion

Eduard 35898 – PE

Model-Point 35B79 – gun barrels

Tamiya 35186 – gerrycans

Habar LO35003– maple leafs
